Vietnam and Japan cooperates in building and urban development

On January 3, in Ha Noi, Minister of Construction Trinh Dinh Dung received Mr. Ohta - Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan (MLIT) and two sides signed MOU in the construction and urban development.
At the signing ceremony, Minister Trinh Dinh Dung affirmed that this event will deepen the relationship between the construction industry in general and the two ministries in particular. The partnership between Vietnam Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan in recent years has developed very well in expanding in many areas such as investment, construction operation, urban development and infrastructure.

Recently, the two ministries shared the experience the field of water management in organizing annual conference of Vietnam - Japanese construction with different themes, such as construction technology, construction quality management, water supply and sewage, urban development, human resources development. The Ministries has signed the MoU on cooperation on drainage, waste water treatment, development of the construction industry, implemention of ecological urban projects.
In particular, the two ministries have agreed at the meeting of the Cooperation Committee of Vietnam - Japan 6th in the field of construction and signed MOU at the annual meeting of Deputy-ministerial level between the two Ministries.

The MOU focuses on eight key issues: Building a legal framework within the country, building and implementing policies related to the construction industry; promoting urban ecology projects in Vietnam; Implementing with sewerage and wastewater treatment projects; promoting the development of the construction industry including training of human resources; methods of estimating costs, contract management - Safety - quality work; housing development and real estate market; planning and urban redevelopment; research and technology improvement for urban development.
Minutes of the overall cooperation between the two ministries is an important basis for the units of the two ministries to implement the details of the specific contents of cooperation, deepen good relation between the two Ministries.
