At 9am 15 April, the Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang with other members had been poured the final concrete girder to Nhat Tan Bridge across the Red River. The work is just the shift phase in the process of finalizing the project, the remaining workload is still large, the project management board will require the contractors to focus and mobilize the maximum resources to complete in October 2014 on 60th anniversary of the Liberation of Capital accordance with the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Transport.

According to the progress of the construction package for the main and northern link bridge with the length of 3.08 km by IHI Corporation (Japan) and Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Co., Ltd. (Japan) and the work has been done about 97.48 %. The road and southern link bridge package with its length of 1,251 km by Sumitomo Mitsui (Japan) and Vinaconex (Vietnam) had been done about 70.12 % of the workload.

Nhat Tan Bridge project is located on ring No. 2 of Hanoi with a total length of 8.9 km with the first point in the area of Phu Thuong Ward (West Lake) and end at the intersection with Nam Hong (Dong Anh). The project was funded by ODA loans to the government of Japan and the counterpart government of Vietnam with a total investment of VND 13,626 billion.
